The most efficient and environmentally friendly way to
send us your document is as an e-mail attachment, either scanned or in
any word processor, PDF, or graphic image format. Please see the services
page for more information and options. |

Our translators are based throughout
the United States and some are
located in Latin America, Japan and Europe. However, because it is now
possible to securely send and receive documents over the internet, location is not an issue as far as
being able to get your translation done on time and to your satisfaction. |
|
Our translators are certified by
at least one of the following certifying authorities: the National Center for State
Courts (NCSC), the American Translators Association (ATA), the National Association of
Judicial Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT), and/or other national or international
organization which certifies translators or interpreters. Many are certified by more
than one certifying authority. However, because we also deal with a large volume
of translations that don't need to be translated by a certified translator, we
also use many translators who have experience and translation degrees, if their experience and translation skills are
sufficient for a given project. We do use translators who
are included on the local list of DMV approved agencies/translators
in the state of Utah and are therefore authorized to translate IDs
and vital documents for the DMV as well. |
|
Our rates are very competitive! We are sure that you will
not find a better quality translation for a better price. The rate
system we use is based on the following formula: total translation cost = per word rate
x final word count + certification/notarization fee + mailing fees. Word count is based on the total number of words as calculated by
standard word processing software, an industry-wide standard in translation.
Our certification fee is USD $25.00, which covers the costs (including time and transportation)
of taking our certification form before a notary and then mailing it to you.
Mailing costs will depend entirely on your preference of mail service, although
we recommend certified or express mailing to avoid any delays or possible loss
of your translation. Of course, if no mailing or certification is
necessary, your translation will be returned much faster and will
cost less. Translations for the local DMV can be mailed or picked
up at our offices the day after we receive them. There is no
additional cost for pickup. |
|
If your translation is between
2-10 full pages, your finished translation will be ready for pickup
or mailing within 3 business days.
However, translations under 500 words
(usually 1-2 pages) will only take 1 business day/24 hours unless special formatting is
required. Extremely large
projects will take longer than 3 days, and will have to be confirmed; however, you can
usually count one additional day for every 10 extra pages, unless special
arrangements are made. For example, 15-20 full pages will take 4 business days,
25-30 full pages will take 5 business days, and so on. If you need a translation faster than this, please contact us and we will
find a way to get it to you by your deadline. Please keep in mind that
your choice of mail carrier and rate will also affect the total
turnaround time. |
|
Our translators are educated native speakers
and writers of the target language (the language that is being translated
into). Translators usually work in teams where the
support of both foreign and English language natives is possible. This helps avoid any and all
possible misunderstandings, mistranslations and stylistic errors. Our
proofreaders and editors are also native writers of the languages
they work into and help assure the quality of our work. |
